Treatments

It is important to note that treatments vary depending on each patient's individual needs and the medical condition in question. It is therefore important to consult a cardiologist for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Consultation

Monitoring of all cardiovascular pathologies (excluding congenital heart disease in children and complex adult congenital heart disease), adaptation of treatments and scheduling of follow-up examinations.

Hospitalization

We have a cardiac intensive care unit to care for the most serious patients, and an inpatient unit on the fourth floor of the Kirchberg hospital (4B).

Permanent care and emergencies

Cardiology on-call is provided by the Kirchberg cardiology group 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Hospitalized patients thus benefit from permanent medical monitoring. Patients referred to the Kirchberg hospital emergency room can also benefit from a specialized cardiological evaluation at any time if necessary, and remain hospitalized if indicated.

Invasive treatments carried out at INCCI

For rhythmology, Dr Dimmer and Dr Kiriakopoulou, carry out all interventions concerning the heart rhythm: electrophysiological studies, implantation of pace makers and implantable defibrillators, ablation of ventricular or supraventricular rhythm disorders.

Coronary angiography, Dr Pongas and Professor Lauterbach carry out all currently existing interventional cardiology procedures: diagnostic coronary angiography, right heart catheterization, endomyocardial biopsies, placement of coronary stents using the latest stent platforms, transcatheter aortic valve implantation valve (TAVI), percutaneous treatment of the mitral and tricuspid valve with placement of clips (MitraClip®, TriClip® of Abbott, PASCAL system of Edwards) or percutaneous valve replacement, percutaneous closure of patent foramen ovale or septum defects, and percutaneous occlusion of the left atrial appendage.
